Jelena Gilliam is a Philadelphia native and earned her B.A. in Political Science in 2011 from Lock Haven University. She attended Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte NC and earned her J.D. in 2017. She took the bar exam in Pa and has been licensed to practice since October 2017. She discovered her passion for immigration in law school while working as a Student Attorney in the Human Rights Clinic and as an intern at Goehring and Strang, PLLC. As a student attorney and intern, Jelena focused on family-based petitions and green card applications. Later as an Advanced Student attorney, Jelena participated in an investigation of human rights violations at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia. Jelena Gilliam joined Goldstein & Associates in September 2019 where she specializes in employment-based petitions like EB-1 Alien of Extraordinary Ability (AEA), EB-2 National Interest Waivers (NIW), and O-visa Petitions.
