David Kim

Director of Business Development/Business Specialist of Immigration Law Firm in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh

David Kim is an experienced and well-respected international business specialist with particular expertise in business development. He attended a British preparatory school, Island School, in Hong Kong. Mr. Kim graduated from Cornell College with a degree in International Business, and worked as an editor for Reuters Wire Service.

Mr. Kim subsequently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs with a Master’s degree in Public Policy Management with a concentration in Global Political Economy.

He speaks Chinese and Korean. Mr. Kim is a frequent traveler to Europe and Asia where he has far-reaching contacts in the international business community. He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal as an international business development specialist.

Mr. Kim also played a pivotal role in bringing numerous insightful cultural exhibitions to Seoul, Korea over the past decade. He has been involved with the traveling exhibitions of the Andy Warhol Museum, Private View – Mario Testino, and the Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier.

Mr. Kim has been brought in by Hines Ward’s management team to assist Mr. Ward and his team with business in Seoul, South Korea. Mr. Kim is presently a member of Hines Ward’s Asia management team and he accompanied the team and Mr. Ward to Korea in February 2008 for the presidential inauguration in the Republic of Korea.

Mr. Kim is the Co-Chairman of the Korean Heritage Room Committee at the University of Pittsburgh, Cathedral of Learning. The Korean Heritage Room is part of the University of Pittsburgh’s 30 working class rooms representing the culture of the various ethnic groups settled in the Pittsburgh region. Mr. Kim was instrumental in designing, building, and raising over $800,000.00 for the construction of the Korean nationality room which was completed August 2015.

In 2016 Mr. Kim, the founding member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Hong Kong Business Association of Pennsylvania, began serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Business Association of Pennsylvania. Mr. Kim has also worked closely with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the international marketing arm for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, promoting trade and services between Hong Kong and the United States.
